Papua New Guinea coffee is grown along the Wahgi River at elevations above 5,000 feet. The coffee trees grow amongst Albizzia berry trees, which lend the coffee beans their sweet, fruit-like essences and unique flavor. Although not certified organic, coffee farmers on most small Indonesian islands cannot afford and do not use chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
Estate grown and hand-picked from trees transplanted by the Dutch early in coffee's history from the highly prized, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee trees. We light-medium roast our beans in small batches to produce a smooth-tasting and well-balanced cup with a crisp, clean finish. PNG coffee is naturally low in caffeine and acidity.
