Guatemala Antigua

$14.95

Antigua, the oldest and best-known coffee growing region in Guatemala, has played an important role in the development of coffee ever since the Jesuit missionaries introduced coffee to the country in 1760.

The Antigua valley is called Panchoy, a name from the indigenous Cachiquel tribe meaning large lagoon. This name has been used for the valley since the founding of Antigua hundreds of years ago. The valley is surrounded by three impressive volcanoes, “Agua”, “Fuego” and “Acatenango,” creating beautiful vistas in every direction. The soils in the valley are composed of volcanic ash; dark in color and well drained. They contain an unusual concentration of minerals which creates unique fertile growing conditions that contribute to this region’s highly regarded coffee production.

You'll enjoy subtle smoky and spicy overtones from this light roast coffee with heavy body in a lively cup.

This is a keeper

This coffee works in drip, press, and pour over. It would also, I think, make a good iced coffee.

Excellent Bean Excellent Roast !

The Guatemala Antigua beans are an excellent choice if you want a smooth coffee without an after taste, or kicker. I do appreciate the excellent way the roast was completed to my request. Roast to Order Coffee did an excellent job providing correct consistent roasting. Too often roasters provide what they want or have, Nice change to get the correct roast!

Brews a delicious cup!

One of my favorite coffees! I love the slightly fruity taste. Easy to brew strong or slightly lighter. Highly recommend.
