Colombian Supremo

$14.95

The coffee producing areas of this region of Colombia are lush with ideal rainfall, cloud cover and soil conditions that are perfect for coffee cultivation.

This large Colombia Supremo 17/18 sc. bean is sourced from small- to medium-sized family-owned farms that average about 2.5 hectares in size. Producers pick and process coffee at their own micro-wet mills and then dry their own coffee, typically on elevated tables inside solar dryers that provide protection from the nearly continuous rainy season.

This Light/Medium Roast Colombia Supremo yields a heady aroma, a very rich flavor, and an excellent balance of acidity and body.

I have shared this coffee with many of my friends and coworkers, and they love it, especially when you drink it black you can really taste the coffee beans and aroma.

Not your grocery store Colombian

This is an especially fine bean and roast for press pots. Dosed at a slightly rounded ? of a cup or 34 to 35 grams before grinding at slightly coarser than medium (not the recommended coarse), this makes a well balanced, rich cup. This is not your grocery store Colombian.

Breaking the pattern

Having lived in Europe for 30 years, when I come back to the states I go through coffee withdrawals. In Europe it is a known fact that the Columbians in particular send their Grade A coffee to Europe and the second grade to the US. But this breaks the pattern. Best coffee I've had in the US and better than most in Europe. Intelligenzia, Seattle, move over.
