Decaf Brazil – Mountain Water Process

Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, but hidden among its vast estates are small treasures like this one: a smooth, naturally decaffeinated coffee from the Cooxupé cooperative in Sul de Minas. Using the Mountain Water Process, caffeine is removed without harsh chemicals, preserving the integrity and flavor of the beans.

We roast this decaf to a balanced Medium, bringing forward a soft sweetness and a smooth, approachable body. Expect notes of cocoa and walnut layered over a low-acid profile that makes each sip mellow and easy to love. This is a cup you can turn to any time of day—comforting, reliable, and flavorful without the caffeine kick.

And, as always, we roast only after you order and ship within 24 hours—so even your decaf arrives fresh, vibrant, and full of life.

What’s in the Cup:

  • Origin: Brazil (Sul de Minas, Cooxupé Cooperative)

  • Roast Level: Medium (Viennese/City)

  • Flavor Notes: Cocoa · Walnut

  • Body: Smooth, Above Average

  • Acidity: Low, Gentle

  • Process: Mountain Water Decaf (Chemical-Free)

Why you’ll love it: Decaf that doesn’t taste like an afterthought. Rich, smooth, and flavorful—perfect for when you want comfort without caffeine.

This decaf coffee uses Mountain Water Process for natural decaffeination. Customers praised it as "best decaf I've had" with "rich smooth flavor" and "wonderful" aroma. Most found it excellent for espresso and evening drinks. However, one customer noted it tasted "slightly burnt and bitter," preferring lighter roasts.

The coffee comes off as slightly burnt and bitter

The coffee comes off as slightly burnt and bitter. The Brazilian coffee I've had in the past that I enjoyed very much was Marques De Paiva, medium roast. I would be will to try again in the future with a light roast. Thanks

D-lish D-caf !

A perfect roast for decaf espresso when it’s too late for the hi-test but don’t want to compromise flavor. Excellent moka pot roast and bean. Also great for making a late evening affogato.

Best tasting

Best tasting, smoothest, coffee I’ve ever had. I wish I could get it in regular. The Brasil Cerrado is good, but not THIS good.

Great coffee

I very much enjoy the coffee. The smell when you open the box is incredible and the coffee is delicious. Shipment was prompt. My only request would be it would be nice if people who cannot order 4 bags of coffee every time (because it would go stale too quickly) could get free shipping — maybe every other order or something, thanks!

Decaf?

Best decaf you will ever have and it's naturally decaffeinated. Exceptional coffee for my 1/2 caff afternoon fix.

After 2 decades of forced caffeine reduction my love of “No Name Java” Brazilian Decaf continues to save the day, along with my sanity. You preserve my love of coffee. This decaf has a burst of rich smooth flavor (never bitter) and fragrance like no other decaf on the market. (You’re not allowed to retire!)
