Old World Espresso

First impressions I found it unremarkable. I let it off gas a few days and the nose improved but the texture and viscosity are lacking a bit. The flavor fairly flat. I have been at this home barista thing for about 33 years and currently using a big lever machine w PID and La Marzocco conical grinder. I appreciate the roast and ship model as I refuse to even consider a coffee with no roast date, or a roast date 2weeks or more already past. The complimentary Columbia coffee was a nice gesture. Shipping after order was prompt.

The old world espresso was very fresh without any bitter taste to it. You could definitely taste the chocolate and caramel notes in it. Will definitely buy again.

Ordered my first 5 pound bag and my first cappuccino was great. Nice thick syrupy consistency and the chocolate came through the milk with a nice creamy mouthfeel.

It is good but still I’m the missing the tase of my puertorican coffee. I haven’t find a coffee that compares to my country coffee. I will keep trying your coffee to see if I can find to a roast to my satisfaction.

It is a little more bitter than I would like but it came very fresh and definitely wakes me up single handedly every morning. Might try their other espresso roast to see how that tastes like but definitely would love to see more espresso options from them

I can’t have anything else! Ever since we got our hands on this, no other cup of morning coffee suffices. Between my husband and I we can’t get anything else! It’s the perfect balance and everything you imagine your coffee should taste like. Just bold enough… we use it for our French press, Cuban coffee, espressos, everything!
